Well, Ethan made up his mind and will get a Remington Wingmaster 870 in 28 gauge which is built on their smaller frame. Wish that Remington would bring out the 870 with a 20 gauge frame but now at least we are both shooting great small gauge pump guns. We have a hunt planned in CA ... he says that Northern CA is great hunting and we will have the chance to enjoy breaking in his new gun. Glad that ya'll clued me in about the Rem 16..

This is one of the few times I would buy a newer model over the older style----simply because of better wood and cut vs pressed checkering You can also have the choice of different tubes for hunting. |

I have a 16ga Remington Wingmaster thanks to nossman
The IC choke is death on trap from the 16yard line. I have yet to test it on live birds
Nicely balanced and great metal and wood finish. |
