Seriously, I can think of a couple of simple experiments that might convince me in one afternoon whether it matters enough to be worth doing. Doesn't have to be overly scientific; I only have to convince myself, not the majority that have already made up their minds or don't care one way or another.

I haven’t patterned loads with and without the petals stitched.
However after any number of patterns with Gualandi, B & P and the DR16 wads, all loaded stitched, I haven’t ever gotten a pattern that was ‘bad’ or inconsistent patterns between like loads. |
