Just joined the 16ga club and receieved the data from Russ. Question I have is: which ones are the Win CF and which ones are the Win Poly. I just bought 22 cases of 16ga Win game load which are red & ribbed - what would they be called on the reloading manual?
Thanks |

Wow! If you bought 22 cases you've got shells for a very long time.
The new Winchester Game loads in the silver box are the polyformed two piece hull. Said to be a Cheddite hull (or at least the data works with both). The older one piece compression formed hull is smooth and has no seperate base wad.
Most of the data in the reloading group is for the newer hull since few have access to the older one.
If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask.
Merry Christmas! Jeff |

The chance of you finding the compression formed one piece hulls are slim and none---but they are out there----A quick glance down the hull will reveal if there is a basewad--------I may stand corrected on this but I also believe all the comps were smooth sided---the ones I have seen/loaded anyway |

I have several cases of compression formed. Several years ago K-Mart was selling them as their promo 16 gauge load. I bought a case a year, mainly for the hulls. The last year I looked, they had gone to the ribbed case for their 16's. |
