Got a box of the bismuth 1 1/8 oz loads from Maximum smoke. They look like new blue cheddite hulls. The complete recipe isn't listed, just 25 gr BD which can only assume means Blue Dot. Don't see any 16 ga bismuth loads on Alliants site, so wondering if anyone here has any manuals, maybe Precisions, that would show pressure/ velocity with 25gr BD 1 1/8oz Bismuth in a cheddite with different wads? Thanks |

Thanks Mike! I don't know what wad is in them so its nice to know they aren't terrible hot like we thought they might be. Don't think any other wad would make them so. |

Savage16 , the Win wad would certainly make them higher pressure and the Vp80 wad would more than likely be really hot .
I personally wouldn't shoot reloads that I had no idea who loaded them. but that's just me. |

X2- I've seen what some people call reloads over the years, pass. |

there are listed loads in Lyman's etc . Up to 11/4 . I used 25 BD in the super mag at 13/8 , so there are some visuals . the Bizz adds another dimension though . May be great , maybe not ! |

I agree about using reloads by someone you don't know but after Mike listed that one load and 26 gr is rated at 1230fps and these are25, I'm not too worried. Like Tony has pointed out, the guy was meticulous/fussy. Each round has a paper disc covering the head stamp that some how was machine written with the 1 1/8, Bismuth, and 25 gr. Whom here among us would go thru all that. Just wish he had somewhere noted the wad. I'll probably sacrifice one over the chrono to verify speed. Actually hope theyre faster than 1230 for running through my new Sweet 16. Tony's not exaggerating about how nice these MTM hinged boxes are either. Tony, if you have any more of these,I'll take another box. We should revisit the hevishot too. |

I wouldn’t shoot anyone else’s reloads unless you really know them. I lknownsomeone that learned the hard way!!!! Just dismantle them and reload them. |

Did my one shot over the chrono to check velocity and came up with 1175 fps, muzzle 5 ft from the first screen per my chromos owners manual. Believe I found the wad too. Looks like a vp80 that has been slit. Gun was my new Sweet 16 26 inch with IC choke. Wad has some felt like material in bottom and a few shot are imbedded into the base. Don't understand why someone would pick that wad, but it did throw a nice pattern |
