I went to buy a new training collar and they had 16ga Instinct. Notice I said had. Its in my gun safe now . I weighed it on a postal scale my wife has, 5 1/2 lbs. Haven't shot it yet but will soon. Cant wait to miss some birds with it. |

The Upland hunting edition of the Pheasants Forever journal that I recently received has a good report on the Franchi Instinct in the shotgun showcase. Reporting that several of the shooters that tried the gun loved it and that it fit the old saying of "carries like a 20 and hits like a 12". |

Did a little patterning. My club has a terrible patterning area, only about 20yrds and approx. 30" steel plate. I was happy with the IC and mod chokes at that distance. Covered the target well with no holes that a grouse would fit. Shot a few heavy #4"s thru the mod choke they looked good also. Recoil didn't seam bad at all for such a light gun, I'm sure I wont notice anything in the field.
The only drawback I see with this gun is the lack of extra choke from factory or after market! |

Being a 16 gauge guy I looked at them. Might be a great hunting gun. But, The stocks on the few I saw were butt ugly. I don't want to take an ugly girl to the prom. |

I could usually score easier with the ugly ones. |
