They weren't shooting 16s, so forgive me but Wow! First USA podium sweep since 1974 three pos rifle!
These ladies can shoot! Caitlin Connor Gold, Kim Rhode Silver, and Amber Enblish Bronze. Also earned out 2 quota slots for 2020 olympics, outstanding😁 |

Just finished watching the whole finals. None of our ladies took a knee during the National Anthem. True sportsmen (sportsladies) !!! I can only dream of shooting low gun, delay skeet like that. |

Our junior Ladies have done the 1,2,3 twice in recent past. If memory serves this is the same group of young Ladies shooting today. Note, top 6 finishers go to finals and compete shoulder to shoulder, all starting equal.
"After the first 75 targets in the Men’s competition, two-time Olympic gold medalist Vincent Hancock (Eatonton, Georgia) leads with a perfect 75/75 targets. Two-time Olympian Frank Thompson (Alliance, Nebraska) is in 12th place with 73 targets and Phillip Jungman (Caldwell, Texas/U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit) is in 79th place with 69 targets.
On the Junior Women’s side, Sam Simonton (Gainesville, Georgia) is currently in second place with 71 targets. Austen Smith (Kellar, Texas) is in fifth place with 69 targets and reigning Junior Women’s Skeet World Champion Katie Jacob (Rochester, Michigan) is in sixth place with 69 targets."
From USA news release, they are positioned well! |

Vincent Hancock ran perfect 125 of 125 finish 1st in qualifying, moving on to finals around 2am our time.
Miss Simonton also finished first with Smith and Jacob in a 3 way shootoff(2 of the 3 make finals) with a Russian girl. At least 2 of our girls, and possiably all three will make finals. Their finals will be about 1 am our time. |
