My vet recommended Phycox supplement for my soon to be 9 year old GSP following TPLO surgery at the U of MO. Bode also had the meniscus so badly torn, that it was removed in the surgery, making the repaired joint bone on bone. He is back to being the same old dog that he was before the surgery. I ran a shoot to retrieve field trial yesterday and his old out of the gate sprint to the far corner of the field is back and he came in second in the trial because he blanked his bracemate and couldn't score a back. Thank goodness I'm in fairly decent shape for a 77 year old, or there is no way I could keep up with him. I can't detect any favoring of the repaired leg and the slight atrophy of the muscling on that leg is completely gone. I have no way of telling if the Phycox is a factor in his recovery or not, but consider it a small price to pay to have my buddy back doing what he loves. |
