Hey all, went out solo today and had fun with a hammergun. Took my 12b J. Harkom out and managed to get a couple. Sad thing is I lost one. He was hit, but got into some real thick cattails and Raina wasn't able to find him, hate doing that! But all in all a good day, beats work!

This my daughter with her last minute buck of the last day of the season, she went out at 4:00 P.M. and back at the house before dark wanting help. I didn't know she wanted to go back out as she was helping her Mom unload things for Turkey day, I had her .243 cleaned up and put away, so I handed her the same gun my grandson killed his doe with, the .308 Mossberg Patriot youth model, but I had the stock lengthen back out.
I'll be trying to post another pic. Thanks to Skeetx once again.

A nice little midday diversion from hunting dawn and dusk Montana whitetails.

Had a great weekend chasing chukars and huns. Life is good.

Incredible pictures, as always, Mark. Thanks for sharing |

Thanks Rick! It's been a tough season after losing Briar for a week, but it's actually been a good one too. I've been getting out and living life on my terms and I'm very, very happy about that. |

Nice job, Mark. I don't know what looks better, the Belgian, the snipe, or the warm weather. |

Sweet! Just curious how your Belgian is choked? Here in WA I have to use no tox too, which complicates things. I've been burning through the shells after those little buggers and only have a couple birds to show for my efforts. Sometimes they flush close, sometimes at 35 yds, and 0-60 in half a second. Really tough birds to hit, which is why I'm really enjoying going after them! |

Mark , I had Mike Orlen open the chokes to .003 and .012 which works really well for snipe . Had one get up way out this morning and got it with left barrel , I counted 52 steps .
I usually use 1oz 7.5's for all my small bird hunting , but this year I switched to fast 3/4 oz of 9's for snipe . Seems to be working pretty good so far.
I shot some last season with BIZ #6 beacause I had been seeing some teal in the area , they worked fine also . |
