Has anyone had success loading 1-1/8 oz into a fiocchi hull with a Remington sp16 wad? I followed the load book exactly but this was the result.

You won't get a good crimp with that load the way it is listed. There is too much room in the hull to get the correct wad column height.
You will also get some powder migration using the SP16 wad as it is undersized diameter wise for using in any hull but a Remington SP (RGL) or Winchester CF. WSF being a ball powder doesn't help the migration problem or the lack of wad column.
If you aren't concerned with the powder migration a 28 ga. .125 nitro card wad will take care of the dished crimp.
The wad you might have better luck with is the Gualandi SG-16. |

Yeah I called a local trap shooter he outlined all those problems but didn’t have a solution for me. I ordered a bunch of wads from ballistic products so hopefully one of them will work better for me. Thanks for the reply! |

A 20 or 28 gauge thin overshot card will fix that crimp. |
