I sure like my Iside, but they are new, so there’s no track record yet. That said, you do get a 3 year warranty, steel shot safe, and the choke tubes make your one 16 pretty versatile.

I shoot an Iside Vintage hammer double ( in 20), in fact my partner and I are the reason that particular shotgun exists, but that is a another story.
Luca Rizzinii had such a great response that FAIR is actually bringing it out in a 16 and a 28 as well as adding the 20 to their regular line up.
The 2200 was originally only a one hundred gun run to see what the response was.
I have several seasons of hard shooting through my 20, steel and lead, in goose blinds and the pheasant fields as well as skeet and trap.
Fantastic SxS!

Do you know when the Vintage will be available in 16 ga? Have a friend looking for a hammer gun and I was surprised the Vintage was only available in 20 when I went looking. He wants to stick with a 16 for his hammer gun and last year picked up a Verona O\U which of course was made by FAIR. And fits him well which is always important.
Would love to hear your story I will eventually will be picking up a FAIR Iside in 16 for myself. Maybe... Would prefer a pistol or better yet POW grip and beavertail forearm. Like the Gardena but that is only available in 12 ga. Although I do like the Prestige and Gold. Always liked the looks of the 900 series Gold O\U FAIR guns.
I am not worried about FAIR guns reliability even in the SxS configuration. Have a 12 ga. Verona and 16 ga. NEA with 28" and 30" bbls. 15 and 20 years old respectively. They have been flawless. |

Cold Iron needs an Iside Tartaruga grade in his safe.
Mike your experiences with your Fairs definitely factored into my Iside purchase.
When my dealer, John Boyd received my Basic Iside I asked him how the wood looked. He said, "about average." I was pleased when I opened the box.

It has some open pores in the wood, so I'm rubbing in a few coats of Timberluxe. Looked just fine as it came, but I can never leave well enough alone. |

Looks pretty darn good to me Dave! Not sure it is safe to shoot yours because every time I do that with one of your guns I end up buying one Hope you get it out soon and that things go well for you! My 23 is down in Texas at Briley getting tubes, have only had it a month now. And already looking at another gun. I may have a problem... Need a bigger safe or sell some that don't get out much. |
