Cabela's is going to hell, but if you haven't gotten in on the fire sale on their Herter's ammo, you better hurry. I just got 8 boxes of 16 ga 1 1/8 oz #5's for $6.88 a box delivered free in two days. Selection is dwindling. The target ammo that was going for $4.88 a box is gone. |

In regards to other options, I have had great response ordering all variety of 16 shells from Joes Sporting goods. Not sure how far their reach is into our world but whether it was the local store or online.....lots of options and willingness to order for m |

The on-line ammo ordering seems hit or miss in my experience as far as accuracy of reporting and customer service. In Dec I placed an order for a couple cases of Rio from Able's ammo because their site showed both loads I wanted as "In Stock". Well I didn't buy expedited shipping so was not expecting it quickly. Still no email tracking or sign of ammo by last week, so I called them for an update/tracking #. Nice lady looks up my order and asks me ... didn't I get the email? No..what email? .... we sent you an email stating that those loads were out of stock and still backordered. I said, well your web site showed all in stock when I ordered it. She says, well it must have run out by the time they got around to filling your order! I said ok, please cancel my order then. I went elsewhere and found the same loads about $5 a case cheaper. Already have a tracking number too. |

wahoo,
Got to tell you sense I have down graded the amout of clay shooting we do here, I have been purchasing most of my shells thru Lion Country on line. I use a lot of SpredR shells in my American Classic double guns, for Grouse and Woodcock hunting.
Lion Counties free on line shipping is the way to go, everything arrives just as ordered all the time, shipped to the back woods of Potter County, right to my log cabin front door.
Got aggravated with the companies who ship busted boxes and damaged shells, along with shell substitution and back orders.
I want what I purchased and in a timely fashion, Lion Country on line makes that happen all the time.

Pine Creek, is this the place you mean?

Looks like they only stock RST and Fiocchi high brass. |

wahoo,
Yes that is the business. Give them a call, they have the SpredR shells and others also, unless something has recently changed, I use them all the time.

Tried Joe's.
Too buggy for my liking, but thanks for the tip, no less!
