Looking for opinions
I have always operated under the assumption I can use low pressure 2 3/4 load data in a 2 1/2 hull without a big pressure jump (less than 500PSI) provided the load fits.
I further believe that if I go to roll crimping the same 1/8 to 1/4 roll makes it easier to fit in the hull.
What say others? |

My experience finds your assumptions spot on.
Opinions; if leaning toward Roll Crimping, the PR tool is superior to others. If finding recipes uncomfortably skirting your acceptable pressure limits; RC'ing by and large reduces pressure in a given fold crimp recipe. If budget allows; a MEC Supersizer clamped in a bench top drill press makes RC'ing a 2 birds with 1 stone (resize & hull vice) joy. |
