Have them use the same font style as on the original knife so they match. Someone mentioned game shears and that would be another great project. Maybe ask s_long for approval to do both, or better yet for us to similar projects form time to time.
Given the trademark does it make some sense to offer the site owners $10 p/knife ordered. They have been very gracious to keep this site open for us.
Good Hunting,

I sent email earlier today mentioning just the same thought. I think it's only proper some money goes back to the administers. |

If you are suggesting we can sneak around the families trademark by leaving a space or using a capital letter that doesn’t pass the smell test, at least for me. These folks have done a very good thing for all of us that visit this site. Let’s show a little respect and contact them with the request.

I was proposing that if you wanted a knife to acknowledge the 16 gauge shotgun in general, and not the 16 Gauge Society or this specific website, that the phrase “16 Gauge” is generic and adorns boxes of ammunition and shotguns the world over. Thanks for assuming I was trying to be an ahole and dance around the copyright, which was most certainly not my intent. Enjoy your new knifes.

(JNW) I and I'm sure many others understood perfectly what you were trying to get across. We are trying to show our passion for the 16 gauge as a whole, not just this site. Honoring this site is also good. You don't need anyone permission to engrave a knife with the words 16 gauge. 30 years ago when I smoked it was one of the things I engraved on all my Zippo lighters. |

Jeff (JNW) has poured a lot of blood, sweat, and tears along with a bunch of his own $ into the excellent Sweet 16 shoots. No one has been more dedicated to the gauge or this group, and an apology would be the classy thing to do. |

I don’t want a squabble with anyone on this site and if I offended you I am sorry. The
OP was about another run of the original 16Ga Society knife and that seemed pretty clear to me. I didn’t interpret your comment as suggesting we could just do a 16 gauge knife - Sorry about that.
Good Hunting,

Wow, an internet apology. Don't see that much. That's why this is such a great site.
Sounds pretty standup for Chicago. Hopefully we can just chalk it up to a misunderstood comment and all is good. |

Just an FYI,
I have sent out questions regarding trademarks etc, to the proper channels. I am awaiting responses and I will update when I recieve them.
Keep the knife ideas coming. |

Gentlemen,
Sense the knives were already made one time, they should be available as a reorder from case. I definitely would purchase the 16 forum case bird knife pictured just like skeettx posted. Just let me know where to send the payment.

Thanks, Mike.
I think I'll buy one of these if the logo and artwork are on the handle. |

I like the game shears idea. Or how about a set, shears and knife!? (Sorry, but you asked for ideas !) |
