I see the Savage website is listing both O/U models in 16ga. Has anyone had a chance to handle, buy or shoot either one? I have a Model 555 in 28ga. and I am pleased with it.

Recently there was a lot of buzz about it over on our Facebook site, "16 Ga. Traditions Society". Seems I recall somebody buying one and liking it quite well. I can't recall the details other than the 3" chamber controversy (misprint on Savage website).

Are there any problems with barrel regulation or POI?

I went back through the posts. A couple guys have them and say good things but nobody has reported back with actual shooting results. The gun is basically the same gun as the ATI Cavalry with minor changes.

I own two of these guns made by KOFS, a 12 ga. and a .410. Both shoot where they point, both barrels, all five choke tubes. The tabs in the alloy receiver that activate/ trip the ejectors on my 12 ga. have peened a bit. The .410 has been no problem at all. Honestly, the 12 ga. and I do not get along at all, but I like the .410. Of course, the proportions and fit are quite different between the two.
