i have the opportunity to buy 2 16 ga citoris both are 26" with "pp" in the serial numbers and both ending in 723. i am only interested in citoris that have not been modified in anyway. I understand that from the "pp" in the serial number makes them both a 1988 model. here is my question. One of these guns have a browning recoil pad and the other has a plastic browning butt plate. Which of these guns are all original? Maybe both are? Perhaps one was special ordered with or without the plastic plate or recoil pad?
thanks in advance |

I agree. I've never seen a 16 gauge Citori with a recoil pad, unless it was special order. Browning may be able to tell you. |

I've got 325 26" with plate. 525 32" with 1/2" pad. Bought both brand new. If that helps. |

New here so there may be a better place to ask but the thread is citori gurus. What is the difference between the white lighting and gran lighting. Minus the obvious receiver color. Thanks. |

The Gran has upgraded wood, generally I believe they call it grade III to IV wood. However, I have looked at quite a few Gran lightning 16s and some had wood that was pretty plain. I would not buy a Gran without seeing both sides of the stock to see if the wood was what I expected.
Btw, I did find a nice one, bought it, then ended up selling it to finance another gun. |
