Gotta ask. What's the attraction to Model 90's. The ones i have seen are pretty crude. |

Mine is a bird killing machine. Until I bought recent guns (a-5, BPS, Berretta SXS, etc.) my 90 (actually Sears 103 II) went with me on almost every quail/pheasant hunt. Light (and I don't really like light guns) and well balanced. Beautiful!

Poor man's over and under. Made in the USA. Lightweight. Easy to work on.
Double trigger design, hurts some's fingers.
Guys love em or hate em, not much in-between.
I love mine,

Little Creek, I asked the same question maybe 4-5 years ago and got similar responses. Took awhile to find a really nice one but glad I did. 4setters, looks like you have a very nice one. I notice the grip seems to have more curve than my Marlin. Were all the Sears variants that way? |

I just sold one in 12ga because I didn’t care for it. I’ve got a couple in 16ga that I love. I have a soft spot for Marlins though. |

Savage 16,
Haven't a clue on the grip radius. Perhaps someone else can answer--there are numerous folks with M90s/103 IIs on the forum.

From everything I have read, the Marlin Model 90's and those sold under the Sears trade names (Ranger prior to WWII and JC Higgins after the war) are identical.
The checkering pattern on 4Setter's 103-11 stock indicates it was made prior to WWII. I thought perhaps the stock dimensions changed a little after the war. However, My model 90's made prior to WWII have the same shaped grip as my post-WWII Model 90's.
I have a Sears JC Higgins Model 90 made in 1957 (P-serial number) that has the same grip shape as my Marlin Model 90 that was also made in 1957. |

The original 3 Marlin '90s listed here never received a bid.
This last one is much more interesting, with the leather case and a seller who actually wants to sell. |

All of those guns are a good deal if one wants something that shoot as it should.

Loved the feel, hated the triggers. |
