I just got home to SE Kansas from a trip up above KC yesterday and found everything as I left it. Including the three inches of water standing in my yard{and I live on top of the bluff over the Neosho River which is flooded the most it has been in the six years that I have been in this area.

KZRG our of Joplin just said John Redmond was releasing water and everything downstream would be effected. Water is on the shoulder of 400 between Cherokee and Parsons. Said if you were effected by the 2007 flood you’d be flooded this time.

Dad said the Verdigris over by Neodesha is as high as he has seen it in his 66 years there. Fall River just getting going good, they’re releasing out of Fall River Reservoir now. Eureka and Coyville under evacuation orders.

Expected to rain more tonight. Joplin is calling for rain chances 7 of next 10 days.

The waters have closed the Tulsa Gun Club for a while. They posted pictures on facebook the other day showing the water several feet deep. I had wondered why they built their clubhouse on stilts several feet up in the air and now I can see why.
My favorite local skeet club at Miami, Ok is also flooded but not nearly as bad as Tulsa.

The sporting clay club near me(Claythorne Lodge) has removed the traps from the course on lower ground and only the course up in the hills is available to use. they have a major tournament coming up in about three weeks and hopefully the water will be down for that.
Sad
