I talked to Larry before sending the stock off and he said he puts as large a pad under the leather that can be fit without exposing the metal insert. The reason is that the larger pad results in a bigger ribbed void inside cutting down on the weight. He also mounts the pads with the screws slightly off center, but cuts the plugs on center. That allows the plugs to be supported by the screw heads and prevents the plugs from being pushed in below the pad surface. All that said, I think it was a medium Pachmayer Decelerator pad that was used on my stock.

This is a little blurry, but it really shows the contouring of the pad before covering. A very pleasing contour.

Super job of fitting the pad to the contours of the stock.

Closeup showing the grain of the leather and two accent lines impressed into the leather.

Toe of the stock.

Heel of the stock

Quite the skill level to both match the lines of the stock and have the leather fit the underlying pad so perfectly.

Their cost is $580 plus shipping and insurance.

Is there any recommended maintenance involved?

There was no recommendation for maintenance provided with the pad, but Larry Potterfield's (Midway) video on making a leather covered pad has him finishing it with shoe polish. I would be comfortable using a product like Kiwi shoe polish (pastes wax) on the pad. I also found a leather conditioner online that looks interesting. Link below:
