Dave, sooooo sorry to hear of you heart issues.
In addition to praying for your house to sell, I will pray for
rapid, effectual healing

Hoping for a full recovery for you Dave. A few years ago I had a mild heart attack and was gifted with 4 stents, but luckily no damage to the heart. The Doctor told me not to lift anything over 10 pounds for a few weeks, so I told him my shotgun weighed 6 3/4 pounds, so I should be able to go hunting. He raised his eyebrows and replied "If you must." 4 days out of the hospital I was hunting quail again. I realize I was fortunate to have it work out that way, but hopefully you'll see similar results on your end. |

Gentlemen,
Thanks everybody for the kind words, I was just told I could not start shooting until late December and only with my 28 gauge guns, with light shells. 2nd day out of the VA hospital in Oakland, Pa it sure feels good to be home in my own bed!
thanks again
Pine Creek/Dave

Dave,
I was there last June, had a bypass. Was fortunate to find it before any heart muscle damage. My caridologist wanted me to wait 8 weeks to allow the sternum to heal. At 8 weeks I asked if I could shoot and he said yes. Shot my 8 lb gas auto Beretta, with a Kick-off shooting 1 1/8 oz loads and felt nothing. Once you get over the hump of the sternum healing then you will feel great. |

As a cardiac arrest and by-pass surgery survivor (4 years ago) at 56, I have an idea of what you are going through. You have to do the cardiac rehab, man. You'll be doing the foxtrot in no time. |
