I am in the process of purchasing a Marlin Model 90 o/u .16 ga.
Does anyone on the forum have any experience with this model?

Yup. Pretty decent guns for the money, IMO. They're not fancy, but they're solid and just keep working. They have straight-line firing pins driven by very powerful springs, pretty unique on an OU. They were made from the late 30's to the late 50's. Early ones had a rib between the barrels; later ones dropped the rib, leaving an open space--which looks a bit odd on an OU, but works out fine. (The Remington 32 didn't have a midrib either.)

I had one years ago, it was a good field gun. Had to do some work on it, shot about 8"s high at 25 yards.

A light handling easy carring shotgun, actually made on a 20 frame,
if double triggers then it first model, up till early 50' after was single trigger.
equipped with extractors no ejectors (darn dangerous contraptions)
chambered for 2-3/4" only normally full and mod chokes, (haven't seen other chokes)
cast iron frame
Looking for one myself, get if a good price, check aution sites for pricing idea.
