Couldn't say no to this late 70's #7 28" fixed full used but not abused mutt. Seems as though someone was in the midst of a barrel reblue and gave up or liked plum brown barrels...I see the bene as natural brush camo. Regardless it should make a fine bismuth throwing Duck gun.

Good ol' 870. I wish I could put together a highlight reel of the game I've taken and shots made with 870's. |

Hey Bill, thanks for the reminder, they are in opposite corners of the safe, no way I'll let this Swamp Mutt defile my (your) blinged up Trap Queen.
Yep, there's something about these older pumps, even at #7 (as light as I like a shotgun to be) it swings quick and nimble, should be hell on early Quackers and maybe some Honkers. |

finally got to the range and with it's OEM full barrel and 7/8oz #8 reloads this thing devours trap targets. Debating whether to leave fixed full .740" and only hunt w/Bis OR open to M/IM for some occasional steel work OR send to Colonial for tubes. Decisions, decisions...sumthin about these 870's...
Anyone around here shooting an OEM Rem 870 Full barrel and putting steel shot though it? |

DAYUMMMM.... Nice. IMHO I wouldn't do the Full choke steel thing.
I have a 1965 Full choke . I can't prove it, but I don't think it's ever been fired.
Roll my own Bismuth, it does the job.
