Gentlemen,

This year Pine Creek Grouse Dog Trainers here in Pa contracted Wyssfiresidesetters in WI for a Ryman Setter female pup as part of our Christmas presents. We are looking forward to the pups arrival and to have our home graced by the magic of another Ryman Setter type gun dog. Having lost many of my older gun dogs to old age over the past couple years, I needed to put the spark of life back into our home, especially at Christmas time. With the addition of 2 new Setter puppies our home will soon be back to normal. Shadow our Gordon Grouse Dog pup from Clearcut Kennels in WI, has already stolen our hearts, and has made a great deal of difference in our home, and Maggy Mae our latest aquition will arrive pretty soon.

We wish all the members a very Merry Christmas and hope everything at your homes are as nice as possible. Always remember we have men and ladies all over the world in the US Military making it possible for all of us, to Celebrate Christmas in peace and safety. If you see a member of our US Military this Christmas season thank him for your way of life.

There is nothing like the Magic of a Ryman Setter Grouse Dog, especially a puppy.

Memories to last a life time.

Congratulations and hope you are doing well. Keep us posted on progress. I’m sure I’ll need your advice on our 2 new pups.

Been a long time since I saw one of these. I trained my waterfowl dog years ago at Decoverly Kennels in Factoryville. Nice dogs!

Congrats and when do you pick pup up? Post some photos of the new addition and I am glad you found a pup. I know you had been thinking on it for awhile. I hope you are up and around.

Good Hunting,
Mike

Mike,

it will be about 8-10 weeks before the pup is ready to come to Pa. I will be using the Gun Dog Transport business to bring the Ryman pup from Wyssfireside kennel in WI, just started my Cardic-rehab this week and have no wish right now to travel to WI.

Will definitely post pictures when the Ryman pup arrives home, at this point I do not know whether the pup is an Orange or Blue Belton.

All the best

I understand there is nothing like a Ryman Setter Grouse Dog, but those of us who do not have such deep pockets wonder if Brittanies may be close to fitting the bill?

Just wondering and maybe hoping my Britt has a chance of being in that same arena.

Newtonian_Guy,

Brits are great dogs, never sell them short, many men who own them will own nothing else. I have trained lots of them, the long legged Texas Brits are very talented dogs. Their magic is more in the realm of a fine Quail dog however.
