I’ve been pondering that route too. What epoxy did you use? I’m thinking of the stuff used to bed actions.

Use J B Weld. the regular set time version , this is a cycloaliphatic formula and wont become brittle over time.

I used this:

I shot a limit of roosters today with the gun I repaired. I also rapid fired three rounds through it and it held up.
