There is an interesting 870 barrel for sale on eBay right now. It is a 16 gauge skeet barrel, that has been cut off and a cutts compensator added. To the right person this might be a good deal at $225. |

You better buy it.That box with wrench and a full set of chokes is worth at least $100,or probably $ 150 to the right person. |

So will this barrel fit an 870 express 12ga receiver? |

Wow, the detailed craftsmanship on the box is really something. I kinda cringed at the cut down factory skeet barrel thing but that is a really neat set up, hope it works well for you.
Not familiar with the Cutts system; does the shot free fly (assuming cyl dimension) for a bit between the barrel end/muzzle and actual constriction in the choke tube?? |

That's pretty cool!
I've never seen an 870 with the serial number stamped on the barrel.
According to Oldguns.com(?) "XXX" is December 1951,
I have triple X rated 16ga 870 that's 148,***W so the must have been punching them out like mad |

Yes if I have my information right, they put the serial numbers on the barrel for the 1st 2 years. |
