Lloyd3,
Yes I did understand the difference between the guns, you did a good job in your 1st post so I picked up on the difference. The W. Richard was a good way of noting the difference in the guns.
That is one Box Lock 16 gauge gun I would not mind having in my collection, serious gun!

I’ve handled Lloyd’s gun, comes up very nice (we are both left handed) and it is as good as a grouse gun gets. Very, very nice piece of kit.
Best,

Ted:
You're too-kind. All this blather about my little 16 got me to wondering when I actually bought it. My memory from that time is a little fuzzy (from my less-than-wonderful experience with Lyme's disease). Thankfully, all the posts I've ever made here are still accessible. Using that (and the similar records over on the Doublegun site) I'd now guess that 2019 would be my 7th season with it. |

I have pictures of the trip we met on, the kids were little, I talked a cute girl into walking in the woods with us, and the dog was just coming out of her 1 Year bout of autoimmune disorder, and if you got it the previous year, that seem about right.
The Darne 12 I had on that trip was restocked in France in 1997. One of my new guns, I guess.
Your 16 checks all the right boxes for old guys like us, Lloyd. You could do much worse for a grouse gun.
Best,
