Over on 24hourcampfire a fella is asking for a value estimate. Later questioning shows it’s a 1959 version, no checkering in buttstock era. Your thoughts?

j have a Ithaca model 37 16 gauge in the original box. it is all original from the butt plate to the orange front sight. corn cob and no rib. 26 inch barrel modified choke. it has a very few marks on the stock and the metal is 99%. could anyone be so kind as to give me a heads up on what it is worth? thanks for any help you can give me. Jim from pa.

Maybe $350-$375?
Sounds like a nice gun. I got somewhere around that much for mine in 2016.
Best,

I was in a LGS in PA yesterday. They had one with a 28” mod barrel for $165. They also had a solid rib model 12 in 16 gauge for $399. I almost bought that one. It depends, value can very greatly with these. If someone is on the hunt for a 37 in 16 they’re worth $400 all day long. If you poke around little small town shops you’ll find them for $200-$300 quite often. |
