I found a well used Auto 5 on a auction with mod choke 2 3/4” and bad ill fitting wood and a lose rib that needs to be re soldered.
I’m looking for a well used one since I primarily duck hunt and this fits the bill, kinda.
I don’t want to pay too much.
Any idea what it’s worth and what a rib re solder cost?
Thanks |

wow Mike , things have moved on since the last time I had any of this done !! Gramps 97 (1st yr ) was 100 bucks for the blue at Turnbulls original shop !! Haven't been on their site of late , but Simmons used to have internet specials for rib installation and a complete overdo for something around 1300 bucks . Can't recall if that included a rib removal if needed . Rebuilds are seriously out of my to do range nowadays !! |

Wow! I’ll tack it on with a tig welder for that price, or remove it. |

Totally agree. Buy the gun for $200, grind off the rib and reblue it yourself, wipe some Tru Oil on the stock |
