Chicago,
We would love to get together with you and Harold some evening, would be nice to meet both of you in person. Just got off the phone with Ken and he would like it to happen also.
I have to admit I train the way I do so my dogs will not encroach on a mature Grouses safety zone, however I do like to finish using Quail. Nothing wrong with good full grown Quail that are hard flyers. I liked Huns the best for training birds, however here in Pa you now must have a special permit to use them.
Thanks for the nice comment on Maggie Mae, can't wait to get her up to our Potter County big woods, and do a little early training. She started to point real early which most times is a good thing. She has long legs and that will be great for our mountain Grouse hunting, especially in the snow.
all the best
