I should have stocked up on the Cabelas Herters when they were $5 per box. Now, they stopped carrying them in the target line. A flat of dove and quail are $100. Bass Pro has Remington for $90 per flat. Does anyone know of a cheaper source? I’m shooting them out of a modern SxS so not concerned with pressure. Thanks. |

Here's a search for what's on the market... mostly.
https://ammoseek.com/ammo/16-gauge?sh=high
Note that my search criteria eliminates those with "high shipping" costs.
Cheers!

Sure glad I laid in a few cases of Herters a few years ago. Still have plenty left, then the hulls are good for 2-3 reloads. |

Federal 16ga is $7.94 at my walmart. That's the lowest I have seen for factory new shells. My Wally usually only has 5-6 boxes. |

That’s a very decent price, especially considering the value of the empties is a nickel apiece and my cost for a box of 1 oz reloads exceeds 7 dollars.
