<  16ga. Guns  ~  Marlin Model 90 ; The one I never heard of,,,,

Had the pleasurenusing two M90's in the properguage...

16, of course. I missed a m90 is 12ga., from adding to the lockers.

Gave the family 16ga., to brother for buying peqce but that was a mistake.
Bought the second for mine use.

Next M90 viewed will be mine, [prefer a 20.]

I would like to thank all who responded, thank you. Turns out it's a 1950 model, in the high 400's. I will try to get a couple of pics this week to document the devastation,,,,, Rolling Eyes

Marlin introduced a single trigger Model 90ST in 1954. Marlin continued to sell the ST until 1963. After WWII Sears sold the Model 90 under the JCHiggins trade name.

After WWII Marlin used a letter prefix in the serial number to indicate the year made.

26” barrels were typically choked IC/Mod, 28 and 30” (12 ga only) barrels were typically choked Mod/Full.

Did you know they made combo guns too? I didn't.

There no MODEL 90 production records at Marlin. Some have estimated that fewer than 500 combos were made. A few years ago, a .22 Hornet/.410 combo sold for $3500.

I still shoot my Mother's tenth birthday present, a new first year (1937) twenty gauge Model 90.
