Didn't want to hijack Rudys post on Isides but wondering if anyone here has one in 28ga? I've read they weigh in at 5 1/4 pds and wondering if the 28 inch or 30 inch are whippy. I'm shooting my Bobwhite G2 with 28's pretty good, but it weighs 6lbs even. Thanks

My G2 Bobwhite 28ga weighs in at 5 1/2lbs as per the specs. I shoot it better than my 20ga LC Smith FW with 26in barrels although the two feel identical in weight when held in my hands. The longer barrels make some difference I am sure since it swings more smoothly.

Byron, We must shop at the same store! I have a 20ga LC FW also. With 26 inchers, it comes in at 6 1/4. My G2 is closer to 6even, like 5lb 15oz on the digital scale. The G2 definitely feels more weight forward

I bought my 20ga Elsie a couple years back on Gunbroker and I was lucky enough to win the Bobwhite last year at the vintage skeet shoot up at Powder Creek.
CZ was conducting drawings for guns from all entries in the event. I was drawn for a 12ga Sharptail and since I already had a 16ga Ringneck I wanted a 28ga for a new skeet gun(Was shooting NSSA skeet last year). The CZ rep said I could not have the Sharptail in 28ga because it cost $300 more. I checked what they had and saw the G2 Bobwhite was actually less expensive and it was similar to my LC Smith guns so I asked for that. They went along with it because it saved them money!(of course then I had to buy a new Mec for 28ga0
