I’ve missed is turkey exploits. Hope he’s OK? Only Gil S seems to rival his stories of long beard lore. |

I went on a rabbit hunt with Reno and another member one winter and found him to be a delightful guy and I greatly enjoyed the day |

this thread prompted me to give Dave a call ... They are doing fine , still in Madison , raising 3 teens and trying to get the farm in Alabama complete . All are well and staying busy !! Life has just moved on from here some . (still turkeying some !!) |

Here he. Been busy raising younguns and building the cabin in LA (lower Alabama). Turkey season was great considering how little time I spent in the woods. 7 gobblers in range in eleven mornings is a pretty good percentage.
Spent all of March in LA working on the walls, doors and trim inside the cabin; solid tongue and groove knotty pine and it was well worth it though when I got back to WI in early April the world had changed quite a bit. Social distancing is undesirable for extroverts like me and with my gym closed my britches don’t fit so good and my knees are real unhappy, they sound like firecrackers when I get up and down.
Shot one round of heated five stand at 84% this winter so my shooting form is still tuned. Other than that, life is good, counting my blessings and trying my best to be grateful for family and friends. If I get the notion, I may share a story about a tricky old gobbler that met his Waterloo.
