Are the new/current production Winchester hulls compression formed?
I’m wondering what data to reference when I reload them? |

I have used federal and cheddite data for them in the past. They don’t hold up well in my experience. Some only one reload. I usually just put a primer in and use them for primer poppers these days.
As I prefer the federal factory loads, and the hulls for reloads, don’t tend to buy the Winchester’s anymore. |

With the kids getting older and the amount I’m shooting, I figure I’ve got 10 years worth of factory ammo on the shelf and another 5 years worth of reloading components.
What I need most is the time to shoot em up. |

Funny, sometimes the new Winchester hulls hardly make the first reload and others go 5 or 6 reloads.
No question that there are different hulls even though they look the same. |

Current Winchester 16 gauge hulls are all cheddite and are produced in Australia. I believe most of the loading spreadsheets on the Yahoo site actually specifically state to use the cheddite numbers for the Winchester 16 gauge Hulls. |

The Yahoo site is no more. The 16 gauge society has been adopted by www24hourcampfire.com. Once you are logged in to that site, you must apply and be approved to find the data.
Yes: the notation on using Win poly formed case data for Cheddites is still there. |
