Well gentleman, I just found out that my article on the topic of decoying sharptail grouse is slated to come out in the Sept./Oct. issue. If you ever wanted to investigate a different way of hunting these birds, especially during late season, it's a great option.

I also have a side article about hunting snipe to go along with another author's article on woodcock in an upcoming issue of Fur-Fish-Game. There will be additional topics in F-F-G in the coming months as well.

Enjoy the stories and best wishes everybody.

I'll be sure to read your article when I get my Shooting Sportsman. Nice magazine by the way, very nicely done and their advertising clientele are top drawer. Always glad to get the latest issue.

Never considered decoying sharptail, but then again it may not be compatible with working my GSP's on those suckers. It's all about the dogs these days.

One of the Nebraska refuges has a large grove of cedar trees in it. For years, if we hadn't filled out during the day, we would sit in the cedars in the evening and pass shoot sharptails coming into feed on the berries. Good times!I

That grove in Nebraska...I might be there this fall! Pretty sure we may be thinking of the same place and my decoys will be an option.
