Hi Dave,
Yes it was a 12 ga and if it were a 16 I would have 1st offered it up here. According to AYA it had upgraded #1 wood and gold washed locks. I know very little about Spanish guns but they seem like a good value for the dollar spent, especially in the used market. That Holland & Holland action and lock design have stood the test of time.
Those 16’s posted look great.
Good Hunting,
Mike

Mike, do you know who installed your late friend's leather-covered pad? Looks good. I have a gun at James Flynn's shop getting one installed at the present. |

Dave,
Sorry but I don’t. The gun left the factory with a 18” lop and the only thing I could figure out was the U.S. importer brought them in that long so they could provide a custom lop. It’s possible AYA just made a typo in their response.
Here is an example from a fellow that is installing a pad for a gun I just purchased. It looks like nice work. Nothing looks much worse than a poorly done leather pad.
Good Hunting,
Mike

Mike, that looks real good. I agree, with leather pads pay for a good one or don't go there. This will be my first. |

My leather pad was delivered today. James Flynn of Alexandria, LA did the work and I'm very pleased with it. |

Dave, that looks fantastic on that Iside. Well done! I'll keep Mr. Flynn's name in mind. |
