I lovem. I’m debating ordering a 100 of the #3 for ducks.

That is a tempting load. Should kill like a hammer if you can get a good pattern. I'll be real curious to know how they work out for you.

At least the shipping was quick. I ordered yesterday late in the day, and I got a tracking number this morning. ETA this Friday.

I'll try to get them out and pattern them this weekend.

Caleb, did you get the #3's or #5's?

I bought 100 Boss #5's that will get tested on opening day. Should be perfect in my IM choke, but I'm definitely intrigued by the #3s.

I got the 5s. In retrospect, maybe I should have gotten one box of 5s and another of 3s.

I've usually been happy with #4 and #3 steel for pheasants and small ducks, so I was thinking 5s might be a close equivalent.

Same here, Caleb, and I'm pretty sure these Boss 5's will work out very well for my duck hunting. We'll let Emptymag test out the 3's for us. Wink

I've got to give them credit for going maximally purple. I think this is the first time I've ever seen a purple box, and the translucent purple high brass hulls are cool, too.

1350 FPS is very hot, not sure what the PSI is.

Usable in modern guns or very stout vintage Winchester M21 gun’s, but I would be wary of using them in vintage gun’s because of recoil first and possibly chamber pressure.

That said, I have purchased some of their shells and they pattern decently on the three I tested, they do kick solidly

I just checked their website, they say that the 100 round package for $135.00 is currently unavailable. Still have the 20 rd. boxes for $28.00 avail.

First outing with the #5s was for sharptails on WPA land, which I didn't really anticipate.

They worked well. Recoil out of a five and a half pound gun was snappy, but not really a big deal for a handful of shots.
