I just loaded up some 16 gauge, 3/4 oz. loads for the Rev.
If your loading 2-9/16" hulls you can get by without the short kit. There is enough adjustment in the press.
If your loading 2-1/2" hulls, you'll need the short kit.
As in my case with these 3/4 oz loads. I didn't want to use filler.
I trimmed the cases to length of 2-7/16" used the short kit adapter, and got real good 6 point crimps, without filler. I shoot a couple of these loads yesterday at a tree stump. (only thing handy) and you can hardly feel them. |

And if it hadn't been raining here in the desert yesterday, I would have tried them out Oh well, rain's a good thing this time of year and what we had, done hit TX, OK, and KS again-I have real concerns about the quail next year when the numbers were already way down from the summer drought
I've got some 'Dr 16g specials' to try out also-full report when I get back from Guatemala. |

2.5 in 16ga is all I shoot. I have two SxS hammer guns and an English SxS, circa 1929, that I refuse to lengthen the chambers on. I bought the adapter kit directly from MEC, load 7/8oz of shot with a 6pt crimp. Shot a couple rounds of skeet yesterday with this load. As an aside, I got the last bags of #8 and #9 shot my club had at $22. I was advised that the next shipment would be over $30 |

I use a MEC Sizemaster, sometimes with the short kit, sometimes withoutto load both 2-1/2 and 2-9/16. I load Cheddite hulls exclusively, either with the TC16 or the SG16 wads.
Best,
Mike |

In looking at how a 600 Jr is connected at the base, would it be possible to simply drill another hole in the red base and through the main shaft allowing you to drop the shaft 1/4"?
I'm sure adjudtments would still have to be made for depriming, resizing, crimping and such. |

Hi Guys
Thanks very much for your response .I have located MEC short Kits
on Ballistic Products site I'll give them a call and get them ordered.I have to call them as the computer won't except oorders from overseas countries.
I'll need some help from you guys regarding wads for short shells and star crimps. The only wads we can get are Winchester Winchester and you guesed it and if you don't like 12 ga 2 3/4" don't bother calling
thanks again
