We said goodbye to Katie this week our 16 year old Cocker Spaniel, Katie had been retired from hunting for a few years now but was the little girl we never had and been a part of our family since she was 8 weeks old , she was a great companion for our son as he grew up and got him his first Pheasant with my 16ga Jeffery. Very sad few days but she had a Good long life and was well loved . Just wanted to let my friends know what was going on over here and pay tribute to my old hunting partner.
Hope you guys are keeping well WJ.

Other than losing a two-legged family member, nothing hurts as much as losing our four-legged family members. As Will Rogers once said, "If there are no dogs in heaven, I want to go where they are." Sorry for your loss, Gil

Sorry for your loss. Having an 11 year old GSP who is showing all the signs of aging, a dog passing on from the ravages of time never fails to put a lump in my throat. Sure wish the dogs would outlive us.

WJ,

May your memories be long and your pain be short, nothing shortens the pain like a new pup, consider one as soon as possible.

An old friend of mine once gave me some very good advice. He told me..."Ruff, if you ever end up walking along an old tote road with all of your dogs after you close your eyes, and you get a nice to a real nice looking place to stay, if they don't let your dogs in, go to the next establishment."

Sorry to hear of your loss.

We know the feelings well. Over the last fiftyfive years we have laid six Labradors and two Brittanys to rest.
