What’s the opinion on the Fiocchi golden pheasant loads, good pheasant load or not? |

It's all I use on pheasants, #5's for wild birds and #6's for preserve birds. I also use the #6's on my western hunts for sharptail and Huns. Never saw any reason to change to another load. |

Used them for a few years and had good luck with them. I am using Boss bismuth this year if close to water area.

I've never been disappointed with them. Used them again of pheasants in South Dakota this past week. Shot a few a long ways out. GF 5's great load! |

I've had good results from Fiocchi Golden Pheasant #5's. They didn't look great on paper when I patterned them, but they kill pheasants very well.
Now that Fiocchi has bought out B&P it will be interesting to see what they do with the B&P F2 line. The F2 #5's are my current favorite pheasant load. Give them a try if they become available. |

Another vote for the FGP in #5.
Great pheasant load, and for many years this was my #2 barrel round, I usually put a Winchester High Brass in #6 in my #1 barrel when chasing ditch parrots.
I've always been one to err on the side of larger shot sizes, and for pheasants I've never had a cripple with Fiocchi Golden Pheasant's in #5. Good luck finding them this year though! |

We saw more birds in South Dakota than ever only our 4th year going.. Talking with people that were people hunting the ditches and public land were seeing and shooting more birds too. |

I love FGP in #5 for roosters as well. I have vast experience with roosters being from Ala . I have used them twice in SD and they killed birds well that I was "on". Y'all are making me jealous, none of my friends wanted to make the drive this year |

Same here T-bird drove 24 hours by myself with dog. Stopped on the way out straight through on the way home with a couple 1 hour naps. Dog wasn't very good company on way home.

24 hrs for me too. The trip up is not bad, but the trip home with nothing to look forward to except 2 days in a truck not nearly as much fun. |

I like the FGP in fives in my mod barrel and nines in my open barrel for pheasant. If I get on the bird in less than 25 yards he gets the front trigger, rear trigger for anything farther.
