Buddy of mine went to a guy who sells out of a trailer picked me up some ammo. I bought two flats of 28 ga. Fiocchi 7.5's and a flat of Fiocchi 16 ga, Golden Pheasants 6's. I really didn't need any of it I'm pretty well stocked, plus I have all I need to load for a long time, but the way things are going you never know. Price was decent , he was out of Fiocchi 28 ga. 8's I would have preferred those to 7.5s. I paid $129.00 for the Golden Pheasants including tax, it was his last case.

I work in a gun shop in Dallas and we sold out of 12ga this week. There were 4 boxes of 20ga and 410 has been gone for maybe a month. We still have maybe 15 cases of 28ga left. I've never seen ammo this low in ten years. We get 9mm and .45 in but it goes in a day even with a one box limit.
I'm glad I reload.

Regards, Gordon

With my hoarding ways I did not even know there was an ammo shortage until a buddy mentioned it the other day. Sometimes it pays to be a little obsessive. Very Happy

One benefit I’ve seen from this ammo shortage is folks seem to be selling some older ammo they have been sitting on. I have been looking through local ads and have found & bought over 30 boxes of 16 ga compression formed shells. Currently I’m averaging about $10 a box. Pays to look.

shells and components are fairly well dried up here . Guys are scrounging 12/20's and primers / powder pretty much gone . See guys on GB selling 700X for 90 bucks a pound plus hazmat !! Good here for a while ...... a saving grace for the HS trap kids is Federal has a direct order discount for less than 6 bucks a box . Trouble is , offer ends Sunday . However , we think we've got the 60 kids covered for their shooting anyway !
