Finish is worn off from carrying it on the neck. Don't want to strip and redo entire thing. Was thinking a few coats of urethane with steel wool between each should be good.
Better ideas appreciated.

When I get a stock finish wearing thin from handling the gun, I use Truoil thinned 5 parts mineral spirits to 1 part oil on a folded paper towel pad. Just wet the pad with a few drops of the finish and rub the thinned area like you were spit shining a shoe. Repeat a few times until you are happy with the buildup and the repaired thin area just disappears. |
