I hunt with a Citori Feather I believe a 2010 production. I mainly hunt with it and only shoot a few rounds of trap and skeet with it to get ready for the season. 500 rounds a year is probably all it sees. My other citoris probably see 1500-2000 rounds per year.
I haven't had any problems with them as long as I keep them clean, but prefer to do preventative maintenance rather than wait for a problem. I was wondering what kind of service should be done and at about how many rounds to keep them functioning properly. ie replace firing pins, springs etc....

there may not be a great answer to this question ....I bought my 28ga Red Label in 1999. It has had PILES of shells thru it of all types . The latch handle is still right of center and it has never exhibited any signs of troubles . The only time it has ever been dismantled was 1st yr when I had the auto safety return disconnected ! Do not believe I;\'m guilty of abuse , but believe that when things are working well , well , leave things alone ! |
