I have a lot of Winchester 16 ga wads (Very light blue in color) with 1 or more of the 4 pedals sagged in. Haven't done any reloading in a long time but I have a hazy recollection that the wads could be heated and the pedals will straighten out. Anybody done that in the kitchen oven and if so at what temperature? Of course I wouldn't do it when the boss of the kitchen was around! Anybody ever done it or have a better idea than using the oven? |

Have used the dryer for 8 petals wads before to straighten them or rather started in the right direction. Stopped buying 8 petal wads a long time ago because they are a pain. |

Laundry dryer. I put them in a mesh delicates bag that you do wool and delicates in. Run it on low for a bit doesn't take long. 4 petals aren't too bad but 8 petals are a real PITA and it is easy for a petal to stick inside the shot drop tube, hard to see all the petals on the backside, and then you have a real mess on your hands. |

Note. Valentines day is approaching. One may want to exercise good judgement in any of the above methods to use old wads.
While reloading supplies are hard to find, you can still buy candy, flowers, wine and "delicates" most anywhere. |
