Gentlemen,

As most of you know I am retired military, my good friends are mostly retired military. My close friend Gunny Harold Bowman passed away yesterday, it seems a lot of my close friends have moved upstairs lately, this particular loss came at the hands of the Agent Orange and the water poisoning in his basic training. I talked to my buddy the day before God took him, I will miss him badly but know his suffering is now over and that he now hunts with my Father and Grandfather in Gods never ending forest.

Goodby Gunny it was an honor knowing you and having you as my friend. Thank you for the wonderful female Weimar pup you gifted me, I will remember the incredible gift always.

all the best,

Pine Creek/Dave

Gunny Bowman and Pine Creek Ryman Daisy reunited in Gods never ending Grouse forest, may God hold him in the palm of his hands forever.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the kind words, my buddy suffered toward the end, was on Morphine to help kill the pain. As his beautiful wife told me, God took him so his pain here on earth would end. I will miss him in the Grouse woods, I once saw him shoot a Grouse with his 20 gauge double gun, the Grouse was over 50 yards out over the trees from where we stood. 20 gauge guns are not suppose to be able to kill birds that far away.
I was so amazed I walked off the yardage to see how far away the Grouse really was from us, as we stood on the big logging trail.
Gunny was also a fantastic Elk & Deer hunter, the Elk Roasts, Steaks and Burgers he provided for the men here at our Grouse camp were legendary.

I have fantastic memories of him that will last a life time.

I will see him on the other side, God willing.

all the best,

Pine Creek/Dave

F2F,

Thank you sir, his loss here will be devastating to our Grouse Camp, and because his beautiful wife is Japaneese, she will eventually return to Japan and her family their.
The freedom she has lived with for 40 years will not be the same even though she is very wealthy. Here my buddy made sure she had every freedom a lady could want, the cast system in Japan will not be to her liking at all. Once Gunny is buried she told me she will need to return to her family in Japan.

all the beat,

Pine Creek/Dave

Dave,
My condolences for your loss. I think the patriarchal social system in Japan will be more of an issue than any remnants of the caste system that ended about 150 years ago. I haven’t lived their in over 50 years but I believe the social structure has only become more liberal.
Good Hunting,
Mike

My condolences and take heart in knowing that all separations are only temporary.
