Dave I got a Parker 16 ga. Coming IC and IM 28” 1/4 cast off 2 1/2 chambers.The shop I am dealing with is great ,I told them I need to shoot it cause I need to see if it fits and I have some RST shells here.If I don’t like it they will give me a full credit minus shipping on something else.

Sounds great hope the gun fits you when it arrives and you need no modification made to the stock. Parker built real nice guns, enjoy!

+1 on the comments supporting that the most important factor is how the gun fits the shooter. Once I invested the $ to have my guns restocked to fit me, my numbers skyrocketed. Next to that factor would be weight. Doesn't have to be super light, but something that you can comfortable carry for a long walk and still be able to quickly mount if one goes up at the end of the day. As for chokes, SK1 and SK2 seem to be as good as it gets to cover all different circumstances when they flush. My current grouse getter is my 28GA, 28" barrels, SK1, SK2, just a hair over 6lbs and fits me like a fine leather glove.

Well the gun fit was perfect never handled a Parker and I was impressed very well balance went up quick and shot were I looked but it’s going back cause of condition.It balanced at the hinge pin 6lb 9 ounces hate to send it back but at least I know what dimensions I need now.

What is the problem with the condition?

Getting a gun that fits you and shoots where you look can make condition issues a price worth paying. That, of course, depends on what the condition issue is.

I have a 26” Trojan 16 that balances better than any double I’ve owned.

Dave it had a crack on the left side of the top tang that I could not see in the pictures and the wood fit to the action was not the best.They have a 12 gage on a #1 frame at 6lbs 9 or 10 ounces with a 1/4 cast off but choked f and extra f.I really liked the way the Parker stock fit the side of my face felt thin compared to my superposed.

Dave I got it from a gun shop AZ.I saw it on guns international.

If the pictures did not show the damage to the gun and it was posted on GI you might want to complain to the GI management. Unless you would have purchased the gun even if you saw the damage to the gun. This is the kind of stuff GI tries to keep tabs on with their vendors. The vendors are to show pictures of their guns correctly for the purchaser to see, and note any damages in their write ups.

Best shotgun for me was he Ruger red label with the blued reciever with 26" barrels and skeet choking,

Followed by my Win 97 with a 18 .5 " barrel.

Then final firearm was a Win. M12, with a 26" barrel IMP choking, great for the Springers I have.
