Snowing today again here. Good day to be inside! Re-read this again yesterday. Growing up in a gun owning and using household gave me some initial ideas about what was good and great when it came to firearms. This book, probably more than any other, helped me refine those ideas. Tons of very good, very clear information here, especially about double guns.

I'd rather be using one of them right now.

I have owned the book since it was published and read it several times. I agree that it helped me refine my tastes in guns.
I wish I had followed his advice at the time and acquired a Savage 99 and a Ruger Bisley single action. Prices have gone crazy but that is nothing new!

I have borrowed the book to several younger shooters always with positive reviews.

Should be part of ever shooters library

I've owned several copies because I've lent it out one too-many times.

Enjoyed reading both versions.

Reminds me of MM.

Thanks for the suggestion!
