Since we've discussed snow, I suppose wind is fair game too. The weather turned warm here this morning, finally! Of course, the wind brought the warm air, lots of wind, enough wind to turn the waterfall upside down. Glad I'm not trying to hit passing doves in this blow.

The forecast was for wind here in SE Kansas today as well. I took my Brittany, Buster, out for a final preserve hunt for some chukar this morning before the wind got crazy.
He did the best he has done in the training hunts we have done. Had one bird that did not want to play buy the rules and flushed wild(like a wild bird) but he was able to find it and save the day.
After arriving home I cooked two hamburgers for lunch, one for each of us Very Happy
This afternoon the wind is getting strong like the forecast. Smile

This was taken in true blizzard conditions last week. The small outbuilding you see is about 50' to 60'. The wind gusted to 47 MPH at one point and was steady at 38 MPH when I took this video. Temp about 10 degrees F. The drift directly in front of me is about 8' away and 4 1/2' high. It blew and snowed from 5 PM the previous day until about 9 AM and 3 hours later the sun was out and the wind died down like nothing ever happened, it was ridiculous. The only big deal was the 5' of snow in my driveway and a nice farmer came by with an Deere articulating payloader with a bucket the size of a small car and cleared the snow in less than 10 minutes. He saved me big time. The camera didn't enhance the theatrics a bit.

In CT? I lived in CT for 64 years and never saw a white out or a blizzard. LOL

I plow a bunch of driveways even after I retired actually more now. Love it when my Ct customers tell me they plow and how I should be doing it! A nice 70 degree day now and wind would work wonders here.
