Well I finally was able to buy a Darne, something I’ve wanted forever.
But now I’m faced with ‘rolling my own’ 2-1/2” Shotshell loads.
Yes I know RST offers such loads, and I’ve ordered some - but they seem to be on the light side.
I’m setting up for roll crimping my own loads, but need suggestion as to what would be appropriate - I’m thinking 1 ounce loads but not sure.
My R10 was made in the 1960s and it’s in very good shape - so I welcome suggestions. |

If you will be roll crimping, as a rule any 2 3/4” 6 pt fold crimp load will fit in a 2 1/2” roll crimped hull.
