Quick question on reloading. As I was going through my 16ga high brass fiocchi hulls 4-5 reloadings, I noticed the brass head will spin around the hull. The hull is in good shape, the base wad is intact. I resized the brass and the hull will still spin. Keep reloading or toss them is my question? Thanks

Mike

I have had a very thin head of the brass seperat from the rest of the brass on federal hulls after 2 firings. That part seem to be glued on. The part that the primer goes into.bever care for federal anyway.

Agree, toss'em maybe cut a few down to some odd length and color the bases to use as snap caps.

if the hull gets separated from the base and gets stuck in the barrel and you don't notice it you could have a very bad day not worth it
I had a federal do this while hunting i notice because it was a extactor gun it was not easy removing the stuck plastic tube from the middle of the barrel

I concur with the suggestion “toss them”

I cannot say for fact it is a great danger, however betting on it is choosing silly odds for penny savings

How much is a hull worth?

How much are your eyes worth?

If I get 4 to 5 reloads out of any 16ga hull, I'm happy. I'd toss them and call it a day.
