I know, not 16ga, I'll defeat the post if anyone if offended. I see it as interesting to sub gauge folks and may be of value to ammo collectors. Didn't know a 3.5" 20ga existed...No interest in owning them other than the curiosity of it....

I think it was made 3.5" to keep them out of normal 20 ga guns. I could be wrong about that. |

A 3" 20 gauge shell is a waste of money. Seems to me I read a while back about a test that proved the pattern isn't better, or denser, but the shot string gets longer.
So yeah, if you're a terrible shot and tend to lead too much and shoot in front of the target, I suppose it's one way to strafe whatever you're shooting at out of the sky.
Or, one just practice a bit more, or use a 16 or a 12. |

Although a 3" 20 gauge sabot slug through a rifled barrel does make for a good deer round where you can't legally use a rifle. |
